Nothing In Your Life Will Change Until YOU Change
Today I want to talk to you about lessons I learned when I was a pipe fitter in the construction industry. I worked at many nuclear powerhouses, and the one thing we were told was “Plan your work and work your plan.”
If you’re in the real estate investing business, you have to understand not only what your goals are, but your NEEDS as well. You have to write them down or you’ll never be able to focus. You need to know what you want and how to go after it.
The biggest part of setting goals is achieving them. Most people work on their weaknesses, but then you only achieve strengthening your weaknesses. Focus on your strengths.
One of my mentors, Dr. Wayne Dyer, published an audiobook called “The Power of Intent”. It was one of the most influential publications I’ve ever heard. He said that the things you look at won’t change until you do, and then what you see will change accordingly with your new perspective.
I was terrified when I began, just like all of you. I was afraid of looking stupid, of insulting a seller, anything and everything that could go wrong. But Dr. Dyer’s book helped me change my life for the better by changing myself so I could see all the things that could go RIGHT.
Many of you don’t think you’ll ever become wealthy. That’s just crazy because you absolutely CAN. You can even start part-time if you have to.
Remember: if you don’t plant the seed, you’ll never be able to take a bit of that sweet corn. Plant your seeds and have patience.
